1914 AUSTRIA STARTED THE WAR AGAINST SERBIA! NOT GERMANY!! AUSTRIA....
Also, richtig ist zu allererst hat Österreich Serbien den Krieg erklärt, was aber sicher niemand als Weltkrieg bezeichnet hätte. Der Eintritt der Weltmächte Frankreich, England und schließlich in der Folge der USA erfolgte als Reaktion auf das deutsche Utimatum und schließlich den Völker- und Kriegsrechtwidrigen Überfall auf Belgien.
Den Krieg mag Österreich begonnen haben, daß daraus ein Weltkrieg wurde das dürfen sich die Deutschen entgegen aller Legenden durchaus anziehen. Bliebe noch die Frage womit man rechtfertigen könnte, daß Deutschland sich von einem Verbündeten in einen Krieg ziehen lässt, der so offensichtlich provoziert war, daß heute wohl selbst G. W. Bush und seine Berater vor Scham erröten würden.
@Nabelschnur: Die Österreicher haben den ersten Weltkrieg begonnen, nicht die Deutschen. Die Deutschen gaben ihnen nur die Rückendeckung, die sie brauchten. Außerdem wollten die Staaten Europas alle den Krieg. Wahr ist jedoch, dass unmittelbar nach der Kriegserklärung Österreich-Ungarns an Serbien die von Deutschland an Frankreich und Russland erfolgte.

Fakt ist: Die ermittelte Alleinkriegsschuld der Deutschen durch den Versailler Vertrag ist Blödsinn, denn der die Deutschen haben den österreichischen Thronfolger nicht erschossen. It ist true that the GDR was an autocratic systeme but the were also some advantages. Our welfare system was the modernst in the "socialistic world", we had to pay only a few money on healthcare and the spate has sponserd us in many ways. Today we see what we've got lost. Unemployment and the more and more destroided social net. If this is the price for getting the free world (it is not so free at all) I really want to get back the GDR!
The so called democratic system are jokes, becaus the economy lobbys lead the states, the elected governments haven't got anything to say!

First of all maybe you just change your name to "humble", as this is the correct frame of mind for any American to approach Germans. Secondly you're goddamn right - Germany started the last two World Wars.
Considering the simple fact that in both cases it didn't take us more than five years to rebuild our ecnomy and turn it into the world's most efficient war machine, if I were you, I`d watch my mouth. Don't forget who's selling you the bombs you're planning to drop on poor Iraqui citizens ...
Apart from that it would be kind of a misconception to consider and treat an American citizen that is loyal to his/her government as a well-informed member of the international community. Keep in mind that you are talking to a mis-informed, brainwashed and in most cases rather numb individual whose job in society isn't to reflect upon himself or the global situation, but to function and act the way the government in charge would like this person to.
Oh Lordie, I think America is really willing to reach a situation where it can rename to "New Israel". Two years from now you will have suicide bombings in the Manhattan area and places like Mann's Chinese Theatre...

As the troops of the USA stand before the gates of Bagdad (1st gulf war) the criminal Iraq regime should have been fallen , particularly they had the support of the Arab world. It is very heavily to correct this giant error now. But one is proven, a war against Iraq means war against the whole Arab world. That is the bad mistake of the USA in their thinkink about the World. 1. Warum spricht hier jeder englisch? Das ist nicht die Lounge, wir sind nicht auf einer englischen Seite. Außerdem passen wir uns an, wenn wir auf einem ausländischen Board mitdiskutieren, wo ist also das Problem?
2.Solch dämliche und falsche "Fakten", wie sie Hunble genannt hat, sind es nicht wert, dass man sich über sie aufregt oder sie gar beantwortet. Siehe 1. Weltkrieg.
3.Kaum ein Land hat in seiner Geschichte soviel Mist gemacht wie die USA. Mal Stürzen sie, wie in Pakistan, ein demokratisches Regime, um einem Diktator zur Macht zu verhelfen, mal töten sie in Afrifa vier Millionen Zivilisten, mal schlachten sie vietnamesiche Dorfbewohner.

Saddam Husein is a dictator, all germans will agree with you! But G.Bush is more interested in Sadams oil, than in the iraq people! If he would say "get out there and get saddam, I offer 1 million for his head" it would be ok. But Bush wants to fight a war and replace the dictator whit a american oriented government which will give the oil away(for free).
